CALL FOR PAPERS: Special issue of the WCPRR on

Arts and media in mental health (Deadline 15 March 2014)

Dear colleagues,

The World Cultural Psychiatry Research Review (http://www.wcprr.org/) announces a call for paper for a special issue on "Arts and media in mental health", edited by Erminia Colucci and Kam Bhui, to be published in 2014.

Accepted contributions include original research and theoretical papers about arts and media-based projects (or a series of initiatives) that contribute to a greater understanding of mental health/illness in any given cultural context (e.g. an arts-based prevention, advocacy, and/or research project).

Whenever possible the contribution should be accompanied by visual materials (such as photographs, still photos from a video, drawing) or links to visual materials (e.g. website, a shared folder) and can also consist of a photo-essay. The author/s must hold permission (or have gained permission before submission) for the paper and accompanying visual materials to be published.

Original research and theoretical papers should not exceed 7500 words, including an abstract of no more than 250 words, references, image descriptions, tables and figures.

The manuscript must be submitted by the 15 March 2014 and the selection process will follow the journal peer review procedures.
